And, for the first time, The Lair will be hitting the Left Coast to see this rare event!!! 3/14/08- MONSTER-MANIA X THIS WEEKEND!!!
Monster Mania X has arrived!!!! The Lair will be there, TOO! The event takes place at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, just outside Philadelphia, and will feature Bruce Campbell, Malcolm McDowell, Corey Feldman, and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Reunion from 1974! 'HALLOWEEN' NOW ON DVD
After raking in over $58 million and setting a Labor Day box office record, Rob Zombie's Halloween is now available on DVD in rated and unrated director's cut versions. It features deleted scenes, director commentaries, trailers, and lots of bonus extras. It is one of the most loaded DVD's to come out in a long time. EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH TYLER MANE
Read on below for our exclusive interview with Tyler Mane, better known as the new Michael Myers!! The interview is brief, but I really believe it says so much. ENJOY!!!
QUESTION: What made you decide to go for the part of Michael Myers? It had to be exciting to know that Rob Zombie wrote the script with you in mind.
TM: Rob called and asked me when I was in Canada talking to producers about another project. He explained the plan and here we are!
QUESTION: What is going to make this Michael Myers different from the others?
TM: I'll let you and the fans answer that one!
QUESTION: Did you use any of the previous Halloween films for inspiration? Which one is your favorite (besides this one)?
TM: NO! The only choice is ONE!
QUESTION: What was it like working with Malcolm McDowell? Do you think there’s a strong sense of animosity and resentment between Myers and Loomis the way there was in the original?
TM: That will all be answered real soon! Aug 31st.
QUESTION: There was a rumor going around that you purposely didn’t meet any of the actors until the scenes were actually shot. Is that true? And do you think it added to the genuine scare factor of the film?
TM: Don't believe what you hear it's not true. I didn't need to worry about the scare factor! As a professional you let the person that you are working with know that they will be in good hands and safe.
QUESTION (from Monster Mania): Will there be lots of blood and gore in this film?
TM: Two words. Rob Zombie.
QUESTION (from Monster Mania): Will there be lots of nudity in the film?
TM: Two words. Rob Zombie.
QUESTION: What was your most memorable experience on set?
TM: Everyday! It was very enjoyable to work with everyone involved.
QUESTION: What’s next for Tyler Mane? With all the talk of a sequel, would you be interested?
TM: I am signed for another go round!
'HALLOWEEN' SOUNDTRACK IN STORES NOW- ORDER IT HERE!!!
The original soundtrack for Rob Zombie's HalloweeN, which is now in stores, can be ordered right here at the Lair store! The soundtrack combines classic rock of that era with the score of Tyler Bates, and some clips from the movie (ala House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, and the Halloween 20th Anniversary Soundtrack). In addition, the score of Tyler Bates will be released separately, and it will be the much more traditional scores like we've seen for the other Halloween soundtrack CD's. NEW MICHAEL MYERS FIGURE OUT NOW
With the release of Rob Zombie's Halloween on August 31st, comes the first figurine from the movie! From NECA, it features the new Michael Myers (Tyler Mane) alongside the tombstone of Judith Myers. No word on when the figure will be released, but you can check it out below, along with a couple new pics from the movie.
